New York | Kid Robot
There has to be something a little derranged in your genetic make up to really get into Kid Robot. Put it this way, Tim Burton’s art figures are some of the least warped things for sale…and Tim Burton is pretty warped (see link at the bottom)…
The Kid Robot blurb goes like this:
“Kidrobot is planet Earth’s premier creator and retailer of limited-edition art toys, mini-figures, posters, clothing, action figures and more!”
Sounds innocuous enough? My husband bought a 30 cm high rabbit smoking a cigarette with the word ‘HATE’ printed on its butt! I mean, what’s up with that?
I tried to balance out the ‘chi’ of the purchase by getting a t-shirt that said ‘I’m your new best friend’ on it but it was somewhat undermined by the fact that the words were printed above a freakish looking monster-alien..thing…
In any case, Kid Robot certainly qualifies for ‘unique’ and with 3 U.S location (NY, SF and LA) as well as an online store, you can easliy get your mits on something cool!
and just so you can get some more of an idea of how warped it all is…
