Ok, so it’s got lots of store locations and so slightly outside the category of ‘unique’ but The Pier is my favourite, favourite, favourite homeware, textiles and stuff shop so it rates a post!!! I love The Pier. The shop I frequent is along the stretch of Tottenham Court road known for its household specialty shops but it’s streets ahead of the rest. Two floors of great stuff. The top floor is mostly dedicated to furinture, giftware, candles and decor from their ‘global’ collection, such as Balinese door panels and Buddha heads.

Downstairs is textile HEAVEN!!! Cushions, table runners, curtains, rugs, wall hangings…

This detail image is of a wall hanging I bought for the big white space above a fireplace. It measures about 3 metres high and 2 metres wide but I folded it a bit to get it to fit the space. It’s beaded beautifully and teamed up with the cream flokati rug I also bought, it really warms up a room.

Well priced and highly recommended! I’ve sent so many people there, I think I should get a commission!!!
