No, not a bar in an ancient English fortress but a ship with a bar and club bobbing cheerfully on the River Thames! It was originally a paddle steamer in Humberside ferrying passengers across the River Humber, but then they built the Humber Bridge and the poor old Castle was out of a job! The Tattershall Castle is now moored on the embankment on the River Thames right opposite the Millenium Eye and down from Westminster. It’s great on a sunny day…which are few and far between in London, but if you get one, spend it here! There is a club downstairs which you have to enter before 11 p.m. to be able to stay on but the main draw is the deck and downing coronas in the sun!
