Not sure if there is any hotel in LA that epitomises LA like the Mondrian…maybe The Standard with its ladies in fish tanks behind the reception desk…but the Mondrians stark white rooms and celebrity heavy Sky Bar does take the cake. We stayed here on business a few years back. On arrival, Katja complaining of jetlag was told ‘there weren’t any crybabies in the Mondrian!’ Scary LED screens around the place and in the elevators….
